Finally made it to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville
annnd I am kind of bored. I've spent more time on campus waiting for class than being in class... I guess its kind of frustrating but its a relief to know I won't have to go to work.
I'm currently hanging out right off the sidewalk in some mini-dungeon of the Haslam Business Building. I can not explain enough how much I dread my next class (Statistics).
I enjoy my other classes though, makes me a bit disappointed I only have 12 hours. I guess I'll get used to it though and maybe flat out regretting it... doubt it, but you never know.
I'm trying to choose my words wisely, because I'm being a flat out dork and freaking blogging in public. Not just in public, but on the campus of a well known university.
With that being said I going to probably... get off here now and wait around some more.

Give me something to believe in.
I absolutely adore movies. I don't believe there is a person on this earth who has seen one and can't say the same... but I just... love them. A good movie can change the world (I believe SOMEONE has said something like that to some degree) and the good ones seem to be in short supply.
I work in a video department at my store and I come off as a bit of a movie snob, but truth be told I'll watch just about anything. I think I get it from my brother, we watched Snakes on a Plane (and he actually ended up keeping it instead of returning it when it was due) and I can slightly see where at some point in the meeting, someone suggested this concept. Don't get me wrong, I'll never watch it again, but to see Samuel L. Jackson play in this? It's akin to finding the Star Wars Christmas Special... can't believe it was made, but you have to watch it according to an unspoken law.
I watched Slumdog Millionaire tonight and THAT is what film should always embody. Hope fear, love (in its many forms) and invoke a plethora of emotions. I want to walk away from a movie with SOMETHING. See the world as a brighter place. Realize just how dark it can be. Just how much adrenaline is going through my veins. Leave in a good mood. Something.
My dream job would be to write for Hollywood... along with every other person who throws in words like "plethora" and get all cocky because they know the difference between "its" and "it's." To which I can say is that there is nothing wrong with joining the crowd so long as you can be picked out.
For the record though... I'll give just about any movie a chance.
Except Twilight.
You'd have to pay me to watch it.

Let's not rush things
I'm not quite sure what the point of blogging is. From what I can tell, it's just whatever people decide to put into words to tuck away in the internet. I do know that the word "blog" is the lamest name you can give to something like this.
I guess I can ramble and it will count... I know some blogs that do that. I don't want to rush into this blogger - reader relationship though, so we need to start off slow folks. Take things easy, and not even think on the heavy stuff. Let's start this out like any friendship or acquaintanceship... and this a conversation. What is the most basic and simple conversation you can have?
I love 3 of the seasons in East Tennessee.
It's spring here right now, and not even an exotic garden on some lush estate can beat a drive on the back roads. Bradford Pears are in bloom everywhere, and last week they were all white and full of buds. Right now, they're starting to turn green along with everything else that still has life left in its stems.
I love the summer here more than any summer you could find anywhere else in the world. On a hot day, you can find a creek just about anywhere and sit by it all day. Time itself actually slows down. Porches should never remain empty, and the doors of the neighborhood are open to the summer air and the smell of cut grass.
The fall isn't as great as the warmer months, but I think it holds true everywhere that the leaves turning is the only autumn advantage. That's all I have to say about that.
Winter sucks ass.
We will never discuss winter ever again.
As of right now, and according to the Wii weather network; Knoxville is currently experiencing light rain and a temperature of about 64-65 degrees.
Olivia is currently experiencing lethargy and dread of a Spanish test in the morning. There is a 60% chance of finishing the 3 chapters she has to turn in before 9 P.M. and .05% chance she will care about the Spanish language after college.

Hm...
Egads, I really need to get this blog rolling because I love love love the name of it. At the moment though, I'm focused on my other blog, "Filmenatography."
Work and school take up all my time at the moment though, so I guess I'll start posting to this around the first or second week of May.
